These Escrow Terms explain how Diaspora Keys may support structured payment holding, milestone-based release, transaction visibility, and dispute-aware fund handling for eligible platform workflows.
Escrow-related features are intended to reduce uncertainty by introducing clearer payment timing, milestone visibility, and release discipline in remote or cross-border transactions. They are designed to support confidence, not to replace legal advice or independent review.
Escrow support may be offered for certain property, service, booking, or transaction workflows where the parties choose or are required to use structured payment handling. Availability may depend on location, partner readiness, payment rail support, compliance requirements, and the specific workflow involved.
Funds held in escrow may be released in stages based on pre-agreed milestones, evidence of completion, document confirmation, inspection outcomes, or other operational checkpoints. The specific release logic may vary depending on the transaction type and the agreement between the relevant parties.
Users are responsible for reviewing transaction terms carefully, confirming milestone expectations, checking supporting evidence, and making sure the intended release conditions are properly understood before funds are sent or instructions are approved.
Diaspora Keys or a relevant provider may pause, delay, or place a hold on escrow movement where a milestone is unclear, documentation is incomplete, fraud indicators arise, a legal issue is raised, a compliance concern appears, or a dispute is opened before release is authorized.
If a transaction becomes disputed, escrow-related activity may remain on hold while the issue is reviewed according to the platform’s dispute and support processes. Additional evidence, communications, invoices, photos, or third-party input may be requested before a release path is resolved.
Escrow-related workflows may involve payment processors, banks, financial partners, or local operational intermediaries. Fees, timing constraints, foreign exchange costs, transaction limits, and compliance checks may apply based on the underlying payment route and jurisdiction involved.
The presence of escrow support does not guarantee that a deal will close successfully, that a project will be completed, or that every dispute will resolve in a particular user’s favor. Escrow is a coordination and protection measure, not a guarantee of business, legal, or investment outcome.
Escrow features must be used lawfully and in good faith. Users may not attempt to bypass safeguards, misrepresent milestone completion, submit false evidence, use the platform for prohibited payment activity, or otherwise undermine the integrity of the transaction process.
Diaspora Keys may update these Escrow Terms as products, regulations, providers, or operating controls evolve. If you have questions about an escrow status, release path, hold, or dispute-related issue, you should use the available Help Center, Contact Support, or transaction support routes for assistance.
